THE DESTINY CARDS NORMA’S TIPS ON READING THE DESTINY CARDS The most important tip is not to be intimidated by the cards! They are just tools to help open your intuition and ability to see probabilities. The creator of the cards, Alberta Amspoker, gave pretty clear information in her directions that are in the deck case. The way I learned how to read the cards was to practice, practice and practice! I played with them daily for several months and often throughout the years. Alberta taught me over a two year period. She was my friend and psychic mentor. In fact, she designed the cards due to the effort of looking at the meanings that were written down on paper and the poker deck cards that we used. It was laborious to go from the card to the meaning on the paper. It was her idea to design and create a deck with the meanings on them. It took her 2 years of loving work to create the beautiful cards. To familiarize you with each card is important. Focus on each card one by one for several minutes and read the meanings and let the colors and pictures impress your subconscious mind. The sooner you can remember what each card means (all 4 meanings on each numbered card and the meaning of each face card) the easier it will be to read the messages you get. There is no “right” or “wrong” way to read the cards! Each reader will pick up different information and “see” different probabilities; however, there will be an overall sameness of information from the cards by different readers. What you pick up psychically, is the information that your guides and higher self have impressed upon you. The first thing after laying the cards out (after picking the star card for the sitter) is to analyze the amount of red to black. More red is positive and more black is challenging probabilities. When the same cards keep showing up, pay attention! It makes the meaning stronger. Also pay attention to “jumping” cards. These are cards that fall out of the deck onto the table or floor. They usually have a more dominate meaning at the time. The Destiny Cards are meant to bring a feeling of empowerment and joy to the reader and the sitter. After a while, you will just “know” what the layout means. Your eyes will scan the layout and the message will be quite clear. The way the sitter shuffles the cards is up to you. I personally prefer that they not shuffle as if they were going to play gin or poker. I prefer they use both hands and shuffle the cards into each other while being held in their hands. They change from left to right hand for the shuffling. This way the right and left brain can interact and shuffle the cards into the order for the message to be read. Have fun with the cards; trust the messages you get. The first message that comes is normally the most accurate one. Don’t analyze. This is a right-brain endeavor. Let the left brain take a break! The greatest benefit the cards give is a line of communication with your guides. It helps bridge the gap between our world and the world of spirit. |
